Update About Queen Elizabeth’s Health

According to Express UK, a royal expert said that Queen Elizabeth is struggling to maintain her health as the British royal family is constantly embroiled in scandals and controversies.

In the wake of Queen Elizabeth’s absence from a service of thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday, concerns have been raised about queen Elizabeth’s health.

According to Buckingham Palace, the Queen was uncomfortable on the first day of her Jubilee celebrations and would sit out the second day’s major event.

“The Queen enjoyed the Birthday Parade and Flypast today, but queen Elizabeth’s health was slightly uncomfortable,” Buckingham Palace said.

“Considering the travel and activity involved in attending tomorrow’s National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral, Her Majesty’s decision to not attend has been reluctant,” the statement said.

The monarch rarely cancelled engagements at the last minute in the past. Her advanced age, however, has made it difficult for her to manage the busy schedule, which has defined most of her reign, filled with official engagements and appointments.

As she has grown older, Queen Elizabeth has reduced her commitments in order to focus on her constitutional duties, such as welcoming new ambassadors to the UK and opening parliaments. Queen Elizabeth began using her walking stick last year.

According to the palace, there is no reason to believe the queen Elizabeth’s health is poor. Due to her age and the fact that she is the most recognizable woman in the world, speculation often abounds whenever something is wrong with the British monarch. As much as possible, the palace has tried to strike a balance between truthfulness and preventing overreactions.

When she canceled a trip to Northern Ireland last year, officials moved quickly to ease worries about her health. A palace source told CNN that she was in “good spirits,” but a palace spokesperson later revealed that she spent the night in hospital for “preliminary investigations.”

The announcement on Thursday was not completely unexpected. Before the jubilee started, CNN reported the monarch’s presence “would not be confirmed until closer to the time or on the day.” While she was absent from the cathedral on Friday, she watched the proceedings on television, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said.

CNN’s royal historian Kate Williams said the Queen will be disappointed to miss today’s service because religion is so important to her. “She has always valued religion,” Williams said.

“As Head of the Church of England, she plays a crucial role. Queen Elizabeth doesn’t always come to mind when we think of her …. but she means a lot to her. She swore to God the day she got married. Coronation … this service will mean a lot to her, and of course, if that’s the case, she couldn’t come.”

On Thursday, she began a four-day celebration of her seven decades on the throne. She chose to celebrate with Trooping the Colour — a centuries-old military performance that involved 1,500 soldiers, officers, musicians, and 250 horses.

The Queen did not ride a horse — Prince Charles filled in — but she delighted fans by being there, viewing the sea of red, white, and blue as hundreds of thousands of people lined the Mall to see her and her family. She attended an evening ceremony at Windsor Castle to light a beacon.

There will also be a service on Friday, a concert at the palace on Saturday, and a pageant on Sunday.
